About PeaK Sales
Our goal is to provide superior sales support in the bike, snowsports, and apparel businesses, while representing our brands in a professional and enthusiastic manner, and have some fun along the way doing what we love.
PeaK Sales is actually a sales group of individuals started by Peter Kidd in 1979. Peter started out as an independent sales rep for Elan skis. During the 1980's and 1990's Peter focussed on the ski industry and employed an assistant that helped with the hardgoods business. When Scott-Sports (formerly known as Scott USA) was added to the product lineup in 1999, business really started to grow and become more complex.
As Scott added more and more products categories, Peter Kidd added more employees to better service his dealers. In 2007 Peter Marancik, a longtime veteran of the sports industry as well, joined Peter Kidd as a rep to focus on southern New England, the area of the territory that had been his focus with another brand.
In 2010, Peter Kidd took over the Bike division for Scott-Sports. This addition led to becoming a year round sales agency and with that the group grew to a sales team of four with an office/showroom being started in Shelburne, VT. Since that time things have evolved very positively and expansion has continued. At the start of 2014 two new additions to the team came on board. Mike Specian, a longtime veteran of the retail trade in both bike and ski joined the team as well as Jay Riley, our 'hotshot' encyclopedia of information for everything bike. As 2015 proceeds, Peter Kidd has decided to re-brand as PeaK Sales and is poised for significant growth in the coming years with a fantastic team assembled and ready for the task. Major new product lines have been added, and likely a new face is coming also to help support our growing business.
