The beginning of my career as a sales rep.  Hired in 1979 as a guy to do just about everything from packing boxes in the warehouse to physically going to every single ski rental shop in the northeastern U.S. , I have participated in all of the ups and downs this brand has had in the past 33 years.  It has been a pleasure to be a part of transforming the entire ski industry as Elan led the way into shaped skis, the biggest development in ski design most of us have ever seen.  Elan is currently a young and dynamic brand led by a group of young Slovenians.  They continue to be incredibly innovative yet true to the core values that have kept them as one of the top three ski producing factories in the world.

WOW!  From a startup operation 19 years ago to the #2 brand in the world now.  This has been a great ride for me.  I was the first rep in the United States and have had an incredible time watching this brand grow from a value brand selling low-end and recreational only boots to being one of the top brands in the world in all segments of performance and designs of boots.  Having some of the biggest named athletes of our era, including Glen Plake and Tanner Hall on the boot brand has added to the excitement as well.  A simple formula for business has been the cornerstone of success for the Dalbello brand.

My newest addition as a brand (14 years ago).  In my time with Scott, it has grown from a $100 million company to an extremely diversified multi-divisional, multi-sport company with $500 million in sales.  Wintersports continues to flourish and broaden into many different categories contributing significantly to a greater awareness for the Scott brand, but the bike division continues to power the brand and provide the opportunities to create brand strength.  Peterkidd group recently added the bike division as of August 2010 and has provided the resources to create the five people, year round sales agency that we currently are.  The shoe division and the new Mountain (Outdoor) division will further broaden our sales group’s efforts and help build the Scott brand and its place as a lifestyle brand.
